SS Teen Lyrical Elite
Sophie’s Studio Teen Lyrical Company is a small group of extremely talented dancers. This team are one of Sophie’s proudest achievements. These girls partake in prerequisite Lyrical Jazz and Technique class each week, endure weekly Ballet training and attend two and a half hours of group rehearsals weekly.
Lead by Dance Captain, Isla Shipton who has trained at SS for just short of 12 years, this team attend; competitions, displays, shows and events each month and are unquestionably committed to their team and fellow dancers. To date this our teen team have won many titles and awards including that of Overall Dance Winner at Teenstar Uk 2019/20 coming first out of 10,000 entries nationwide. L
ast year the girls collectively attained a plethora of competition titles ranging from Miss Teen Hotshots, highest scoring routine of the competition, Choreography Awards and Best Dance School.
Some of our dancers have been awarded summer placements at the Urdang Academy and Dance Box and have trained on scholarship at Sam Stanley Associates Intensives.

SSDC (U14)
Hip Hop Elite Team
SSDC is Sophie's Studio's second generation group of talented commercial dancers. SSDC are Sophie's original competition team. These dancers train for an hour and a half each week and also take a weekly Hip Hop and Commercial Dance classes.
Most of the dancers also attend dance classes covering different dance disciplines to ensure their dance training is as extensive and varied as possible. These dancers compete in; team, duo and solo events at national Street Dance competitions.
SS Junior Lyrical Elite
Our newest team are currently undergoing a rigorous training process.
We have selected nine U12 dancers for our Junior Lyrical Elite Company from our invitation only Elite Preparatory Class.
Our selected dancers train in; Ballet, Technique, Stretch & Stamina, Lyrical, Acro, Hip Hop and a group Choreography focused class every week.
So far this new team have won every group competition entered and individually are progressing beautifully, earning top 3 placings for solos and duos at competitions.
